engineer support Operative

Here at GXO we are looking for Engineer Support Operative to join us at our Northampton site (NN4 9FJ)

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours, on any 5 of 7 on a rotating shift of 06:00-14:00,

and 14:00-22:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for ensuring that the site automation keeps running with minimal downtime.
• Complying with the site recovery procedures for automation whilst also ensuring all consumables are topped up.
• Working alongside the Swiss log engineers escalating any mechanical or electrical issues during operations.
• Adhering to site policy and procedures whilst maintaining efficient operations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Understanding of automation and aptitude to learn
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Strong visual awareness (hazard spotting skills)
• Analytical with good problem-solving skills
