Engineering Manager (Client Side)

At NUVIA UK, we are actively recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager, to be embedded into our client's nuclear projects. The role is based at Birchwood Park in Warrington or Albion Square in Whitehaven, minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Please note this requirement has been deemed inside IR35.

Project Description:

The current cuboid flask maintenance facility has a series of areas for rapid improvement to ensure that it can safely operator for the next 10 years. A series of minor projects associated with the rapid improvements have been initiated to deliver solutions to the facility. These areas are:

• Provision of a new breathing air system.
• Provision of a flask turntable for use within the paint booth.
• Safety improvements to the flask internal painting task.
• Provision of a paint gun cleaning and paint mixing booth.
• Provision of an operator change room for the paint room.

These minor projects will be delivered as a D&B contract with IAC. Sellafield Ltd will act as intelligent customer and a PEM is required as a part of this team. In addition to the above scope the PEM will be required to oversee a number of inflight design packages been undertaken by PFDO on behalf of the B39 plant engineering team.

Role Description:

The project requires a PEM who will cover the Design and Engineering oversite of the D&B contractor (IAC) delivered packages and the inflight plant Engineering Design work scope currently with PFDO.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• SQEP Design Engineer.
• CDM Principal Designer.
• Commercial experience.
• Nuclear experience.
• Sellafield site delivery experience.
• Inventor, AutoCAD Navisworks, MathCAD.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

• Project Systems Engineering understanding.

Security Clearance role requirements:

• SC clearance and ability to obtain P1 or P4 Pass.
