Job Description

Do you pride yourself on your own integrity and take a common-sense approach to life? Are you able to remain independent and look impartially at information or circumstances?

Cumbria's Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner are looking for exceptional individuals whose skills and experiences will enable independent scrutiny of integrity within policing providing transparency and accountability to the public.

It is not just about doing the right thing but also about the reason behind the decision being sound and supported.

The panel brings together people from local communities within Cumbria to provide a level of independence and challenge, enabling policing to be more effective and in the public interest. Our Panel needs people with a broad set of skills, abilities, and experience, and with the right motivation, enthusiasm and initiative to make a difference to people’s lives.

The panel meets on a quarterly basis and carries out dip sample and thematic sessions throughout the year in line with its annual work programme.
