We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional individual to work within our very busy Exams Department.
Work in the department is a mix of precise administrative duties that require an eye for detail, and fast-paced exams organisation that needs a calm and logical mind. The role can be very physically active, with demanding exams running for several weeks at a time at locations around the site, while at other times the work can be office/admin based. We have exams and/or controlled assessments running throughout the academic year and as such we are very much a student facing department.
We require someone with experience of working within education and ideally some experience of exam administration, although full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
You will have a good understanding of MS Office (particularly Excel), databases, Google Drive, excellent customer service skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students at all levels.
We work hard to ensure we maintain visibility amongst the students and staff and always remain approachable and supportive. The role will be part of a small, hard-working, enthusiastic team. It is based at the Sixth Form campus on Tangier Road although travel/work between the other college sites should be expected at times for training, meetings, staff events etc.
Reporting to the Director of Exams & Additional Support, you will have responsibility and ownership of specific tasks, whilst also sharing in the general workload of the department.
Normal working hours are between 9am – 5pm, although specific times will be arranged within the department to ensure appropriate cover. However, during the busier working weeks, flexibility over working hours is required including early starts and late finishes dependant on exam times and workload.
Please refer to the attached Job Description for the complete details.
How to Apply
The closing date for the role is 2 April 2023. We will be monitoring the applications daily and reserve the right to withdraw the advert early. Please note only applications submitted through our job portal will be considered. Should you encounter any issues during the application process, please email recruitment@copc.ac.uk.
