Textiles Fabric Cutter with experience of using Eastman Cutting Knife

We are looking for a fabric cutter to join our manufacturing business based in Brynmawr.

The ideal candidate must have a good eye for detail, work at a fast pace and have a good understanding of mathematics and measurements. The role involves transferring measurements from paper and drawing them onto different fabrics, cutting them out for the machinists to sew. It can be physically demanding as you are on your feet and manoeuvring around the cutting table. The role also involves assisting with fabric deliveries and stock checks, lifting rolls of fabric, following Health and Safety Procedures and maintaining a tidy work area.

Fabric Cutting experience, using Eastman Blade and scissors is essential. Experience in upholstery and furniture industry ideal.

The starting rate is minimum wage. This will increase once trained and up to speed. A higher starting rate will be considered for candidates with relevant experience or training.

Hours are 7.30am-4pm Monday to Thursday. May be negotiable for the right candidate.
