Family Solutions (Edge of care) Practitioner

PO1-PO3: £38,037 pa incl. LW rising in annual increments to £45,711 pa

In Lambeth, we have adopted a systemic approach, “Children at the Heart of Practice” to support our work with children and families.

We are driven by a focus on relationships, enabling and supporting change for families openly and collaboratively, and promoting children’s development and wellbeing.

The Edge of Care Service, called Family Solutions, works with vulnerable children and families to prevent child entry into care by providing relational support via solution-focused interventions. The Service also seeks to reunify children already within care within their family networks (when is safe to do so).

Family Solutions Service:

  • Provides supplementary, intensive support to children and families alongside the allocated social worker to reduce risk factors associated with child entry into care.
  • Do not hold case responsibility
  • Provide a therapeutic, evidence-based solution-focused service to families.
  • Provide mediatory and goal orientated services to help reunify children into family networks.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on issues pertaining adolescent development.
  • Provide Solution Focused Brief Therapy bespoke training.

We are looking for committed and dynamic Social Workers with knowledge and experience of working with adolescents.

This is a unique opportunity to provide intensive support to families and aim to improve longer term outcomes for children and families and reduce the need for longer term statutory interventions.

We also offer our staff a host of benefits. You can find the benefits we offer here .
