Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is expanding its presence in London with the opening of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London this spring 2023. Sitting on historic Hanover Square, the property comprises 50 guestrooms and 77 private residences, offering hotel guests and residents an oasis of calm and Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service alongside a vibrant atmosphere in the public spaces. It will house the first namesake restaurant in the UK from Michelin Star award winning Chef Akira Back, his ‘ABar Lounge’ concept, ‘ABar Rooftop’ as well as his 14 seat fine dining venue ‘DOSA’. There will also be an urban spa, focussed on renewal and recalibration.

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to assist the Assistant Director of Finance in the pre-opening phase, in the determination of optimum control objectives and for the installation and maintenance of appropriate internal control systems over income, expenditure, assets and liabilities within the hotel and residences.

What we are looking for in a Finance Assistant:

• Ensures that all food, beverage, tobacco and other F&B related stock deliveries are correctly recorded in the inventory stock control system.
• Ensures all F&B stock requisitions and issues are correctly recorded and allocated to the relevant cost centre i.e. restaurant, bar, cellar, dry goods store.
• Ensures that all delivery documentation is checked and authorised by the Purchasing department before inputting into the accounting system.
• Carries out monthly stock takes in all areas: beverage, tobacco, mini bar.
• Maintains the inventory stock control system for all beverage, tobacco and mini bar items in accordance with the SOP.
• Ensures all invoices are duly authorised prior to payment.
