Fire Extinguisher Technician

BAM Site Solutions are recruiting a Fire Extinguisher Technician. The position will involve a mixture of working on site & working out of our Morley office. It will also include visits to our other offices at Wellingborough, Allbrook & Kilsyth.

Working closely with the Operations Manager & the team this role will provide operational support to BAM Construct & BAM Civils. As the business develops this will expand to external clients.

The Fire Extinguisher Engineer is responsible for:

• Support Operations Manager with all aspects of fire protection requirements within our operations
• Undertaking Fire Extinguisher Servicing predominantly for BAM Construct & BAM Civils without supervision.
• Building and maintaining good relationships with the client. Demonstrating high standards of customer service that support the clients Culture.
• Work closely with clients to provide equipment and advice that support the client's business and requirements
• Service, install or remove and properly dispose of fire extinguishers or extinguisher parts, as necessary.
• Support the team installing/maintaining temporary wireless fire alarms – training on this will be provided as required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in using Microsoft packages will be requiredl.
• Able to carry/lift fire extinguishers, tools and equipment as required.
• Must be prepared to travel extensively with occasional nights away.

• BAFE qualified, have a good working knowledge of BS5306 & a Fire Extinguisher Training certificate (4 days course covering BS5306 parts 3 & 8) from accredited body.
