Leftover Currency Limited is a Datchet-based company that serves customers from around the world. We exchange foreign coins, banknotes new and old including old and obsolete currencies, as well as current travel money. Much of the currency we process is sent in by post via our website LeftoverCurrency.com. In addition we work with charities, many of which collect donations on airports.

We are looking for a Foreign Exchange Clerk to join our team of currency professionals. You too can become a currency professional. We will train you from the beginning. You don't need to know anything about currency, just be eager to learn a lot of things in a short time.

The job involves

• opening letters and parcels and checking the contents against a list
• counting and sorting currency
• keying in counts, making calculations
• operating coin counting and sorting machines
• hand-sorting foreign coins per currency and denomination
• sorting and counting mixed foreign banknotes
• checking customer orders and documenting inconsistencies
• booking courier deliveries
• when you have received training for this: answering customer queries by email and telephone

You don’t need previous experience as a cashier or foreign exchange clerk, but if you have, it’s a plus. We will give you a full training in-house.

You need to be able to absorb a lot of information. There are very many different foreign coins and banknotes. This complexity may overwhelm some people in the beginning. If currency interests you, you are going to love this job! We will train you step by step.

Candidates need to be good with numbers and have an eye for detail. Impeccable references will be required. There will be opportunities to travel to trade shows and banks around Europe, if you would like to do that.

This is a full time position, 40 hours from Monday to Friday. The office is easily accessible via train, bus and car. We have free parking at the unit.
