Freelance Copywriter

Our in-house marketing department are on the search for a freelance copywriter to work alongside the larger team on exciting new projects here at Unique Homestays. With a creative but commercial mind, you will deliver inspiring and captivating content to engage our customers, owners and brand followers in-line with brand guidelines.

The Person

You will be reliable, self-motivated and experienced with a positive, can-do attitude. You will be full of enthusiasm, with the ability to work quickly and accurately under strict deadlines by prioritising effectively. A demonstrable interest in luxury homes and travel will give you an advantage. The perfect candidate will have proven copywriting experience in a similar industry, a good eye for detail as well as excellent written and grammatical skills. Experience in proof reading and creative writing for digital media is essential. Candidates with knowledge of SEO and digital marketing will be at a strong advantage.

Experience and Skills

• Undergraduate degree, preferably in English, journalism, media studies or public relations
• At least three years’ experience in similar field as a copywriter
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to communicate effectively with different audiences
• Excellent grammar, writing and proofreading skills
• Commercially minded while writing to inspire
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of SEO in practice, with experience of writing for web
• Experience of leading proactive and reactive communications plans
• Knowledge of how to engage audiences through a variety of communication platforms – website, newsletters and digital
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload efficiently to meet deadlines

• This role is on a freelance project basis
• Salary is competitive and dependent on experience
