Front End Engineer

Simplyhealth – the UK’s first B Corp Health Insurer – have built and launched a new venture as part of our existing portfolio of companies. We are on a mission to lower barriers to affordable healthcare and improve patient choice, with an exciting new business sitting at the heart of our new digitalisation and venture building strategy; Boost. Empowering practitioners to give patients the finance and confidence to get the care they need.

Boost has been set up to tackle problems faced by healthcare practitioners and their patients. There is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the journey to create and scale a multi-product business across health financing, treatment support, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provision and compliance.

Sitting at the core of our commitment to digitise, we will serve a large, fragmented market, with an innovative new offering to improve outcomes for both patients and healthcare practitioners.

To achieve these goals, we’re now hiring a high-performing permanent team to join our leadership team to take Boost to the next level.

What you’ll be responsible for as Front End Developer:

• Work with React-based frontend and be involved in building and maintaining the applications
• Scaling a greenfield web app and bringing your expertise and experience to help drive key technical decisions
• Building responsive, maintainable, user-centric front end applications
• Work closely with the product and design team who, combined with engineering, have end-to-end autonomy for the core platform
• Collaborate with the broader engineering team to help create the technical roadmap and wider product vision

You should have:

• Strong experience in Front End Development, specifically with React using Typescript, using a mobile-first approach
• Experience building and maintaining design systems that reflect brand guidelines, ideally using Tailwind CSS
• Broad knowledge of industry trends that you could bring and
