Overview:
Our fun and creative client is looking for a talented front end developer with solid commercial experience creating exciting, dynamic layouts using modern HTML & CSS techniques. You will be looking to grow your skills and experience with the help of fantastic training and mentoring into a full-stack role within a Microsoft ecosystem. You will be part of one of the UK’s largest independent, award winning and family owned travel operators, who currently turn over £300 million per year.
They have also been in business for approaching 45 years. They have an unprecedented rating of
98% on a major review platform which is based on over 10,000 customer ratings saying ‘they will book again’. This is down to the unique end to end service and travel knowledge that they provide.
They have developed from the ground upwards their own pioneering travel system, this is used to support sales and back office processes, built using SQL Server and C#/VB.NET or HTML/
JavaScript. It allows customers to create a seamless bespoke holiday with a travel specialist and everything from payment to an itinerary is handled by this unique system.

Responsibilities:
You will be helping the IT Team to continue to evolve by embracing the latest technologies, best practice and ways of working. The role will be reporting into the head of web development and you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of projects, all the way from using your skills and expertise to thrash out a specification with stakeholders through to the implementation, debugging and testing of full stack web applications based on the Microsoft ecosystem and modern client-side technologies. You will have experience interpreting client requirements and producing high quality work within a short time-frame in a fast moving and fun industry.
