FRONT OF HOUSE SALES ASSISTANT

Hours of Work: Full Time/Part Time – 10-16 hours per week on a rota basis including evening and weekend shifts.

You must be a self-starter as other colleagues will not be with you for your entire shift.

With the kiosk being a new opener, it is essential that you have a problem-solving attitude and are willing to go above and beyond in helping to create and sustain effective systems and a positive team vibe. Previous customer service experience would be preferred, however if you are super confident and able to build customer rapport quickly (rather than just serve) we will consider you.

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for carrying out all Front of House tasks within the Cake Box Kiosk in Asda. Whether you are taking orders for cakes, selling and promoting shop merchandise or providing information to members of the public, you will deliver an efficient and friendly service to customers at all times.

Main Responsibilities – Front of House/Shop Assistant:

• Maintaining a smart appearance at all times.
• Greet and deal with customer’s requests with a smile.
• Preparing the Kiosk before opening.
• Taking daily fridge temperatures and other Safer Food Better Business processes·
• Maintaining front of house cleanliness throughout the day·
• Keeping a check on quality of cakes leaving the kiosk and stock rotation·
• Serving customers and take payments using the cash register system and card machine·
• Cashing up at the end of each day·
• Receiving, counting and displaying / storing replenished stock.
• Advising customers on the most appropriate product for them.
• Dealing with customer complaints in a compassionate manner.
