General Manager

Job Description

Aramark Northern Europe is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated General Manager to join the team at NESCOT College, in Ewell near Epson, Surrey. This is a unique, permanent and full time opportunity managing circa 11 staff on site. The role will assume responsibility for the overall service delivery, performance and on-going development of the contract across core services; student feeding, Starbucks, events and hospitality.

A day in the life of a General Manager:

• The General Manager will be responsible for the overall concept driven service to students, staff and visitors to the College, the financial performance and success of the contract and the on-going development of our services both operationally and financially
• Our core service includes, delivery amazing food and service to our customers through the main restaurant, a Starbucks and in the delivery of event and hospitality catering as required.
• Management training, supervision, development and recruitment of the catering team
• Liaise with the on-site client, event organiser etc. including formal structured meetings, and ad-hoc informal meetings
• Liaise with students/ student body or representative on a regular basis
• Manage, monitor and develop the financial performance of the contract ensuring all commercial targets are met as a minimum
• Ensure Aramark’s process, procedures are operated to correctly

You'll be set up for success if you have:

• Drivers licence
• Experience in contract catering, ideally within education
• Experience of managing a multi activity site
• Experience of managing a large team, including the Management and development of a Exec Head Chef, Supervisors and front line Team
• Finance management
• Strong cross functional stakeholder management skills
