General Operative

GENERAL OPERATIVE(REF: 11903, 11902, 12005, 12005.1)

We have a new vacancy for a General Operative to join our team at our Bardon Hill Hardrock quarry in Coalville.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be a team member within one of the production shift teams. The role will require you to be hand on as well as learning plant operations. You will be maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free and deal with all daily issues professionally and liaise with site management on a regular basis.

You will be responsible for the operation of mobile plant (Loading Shovel) safely and efficiently, carrying out daily safety checks and reporting defects.

• Experience in safe working practices, permits to work and ‘live working’ rules and procedures.
• Experience in similar industry.
