Glazing Operative

We have an exciting opportunity for a glazing operative to join a well-established team based in Blaydon on Tyne. GC Windows has a strong placement within the Newbuild Construction industry.

Our Head office and factories are based in Pontypool South Wales with operating regions in Wales & South West, South East, North Midlands, and North East Midlands. As a team we have excellent history and an enviable position in the market with current growth allowing opportunity to expand further within our field.

Should you be a person looking for job security then this is a full-time permanent opportunity, the working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am-16.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 13:00pm however at times your working hours may vary to accommodate the operations demands. Key responsibilities and Duties

· Deliver completed plots of windows and French doors on time and in full.

· Manually lifting double glazed units into UPVC frames and assembling to a finished frame.

· Ensuing all processes are followed in full on all aspects of the job role.

· Loading and unloading vans for goods in and out

· Stripping and handling glass

· Duties to be carried out and competed in line with health & safety legislation and company policies.

· Booking in delivers received

· Completing all relevant paperwork for the finished products.

Skills/Knowledge

· Driving Licence and own transport desirable due to location

· Experience of working in the UPVC industry not essential.

· Effective communicational skills

· Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

· A passion for making a positive difference with integrity, teamwork determination and pride.

· Forklift Licence desirable but not essential

Full training will be provided as well as the opportunity to develop and growth within GC Windows.
