GP Practice Medical Receptionist

Deal Tree Health Centre is a busy dispensing and training practice located in the semi-rural village of Doddinghurst, Brentwood. Our 9,700 patients are currently looked after by an established clinical team consisting of:

§ 4 Partners

§ 3 Salaried GP’s

§ 1 Paramedic Practitioner

§ 1 Clinical Pharmacist

§ 1 Nurse Practitioner

§ 4 Practice Nurses

§ 2 HCA’s

§ 1 Phlebotomist

We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our friendly and busy team. This is a part-time role for 14-18 hours per week over 2/3 days, however, you may be asked to work additional hours to help with the workload when required.

Although the Practice opening hours are 8.00am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday, specific hours will be discussed and agreed.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

§ Arranging appointments

§ Dealing with general queries

§ Actioning daily Tasks

This is an evolving role and is subject to change.

The ideal candidate will need to have:

§ Excellent communication and organisational skills

§ A good telephone manner

§ The ability to work under pressure and to always maintain confidentiality

§ The ability to communicate with other members of the primary health care team

§ Be a Team player

Previous general practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne is desirable but not essential. Extensive training will be provided.

Salary dependent on experience.
