Grab Truck Driver

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grab Truck Driver at Interfuse in Gainsborough. Interfuse Ltd is a family run business, established in 1965 for the manufacture of precast masonry blocks.

Our Gainsborough Plant is one of the most modern in the UK, allowing the production of dense and lightweight blocks in a range of sizes which are then distributed through builders’ merchants to customers throughout the country.

This is a full time position where your main responsibility will be to load and unload block lorries ready for delivery.

Key accountabilities:

• Loading and unloading of block lorries ready for delivery in accordance with yard safety procedure and training.
• Transferring blocks from production conveyor into relevant stock locations in the yard.
• Daily checks of grab trucks.
• Training will be provided on other yard machinery if required such as loading shovel and forklifts giving job flexibility.
• Loading shovel involves loading and filling aggregate bins with correct material for production from ground feed bin.
• Ensure supplied material is tipped in correct material bay.
• Ensure material bays and stock yard are kept in a tidy manner.
• Assist with plant maintenance/cleaning duties.
• Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
• Compliance with health & safety policies, risk assessments & procedures at all times.
• Carry out additional duties within your skill and competence.
• Compliance with GDPR at all times

Relevant qualifications or experience required:

Loading shovel licence – desirable

Experience in manufacturing background - desirable

Experience of working as a loading shovel driver or similar role - desirable

Salary: Potential earnings of between £30,000-£35,000 per annum. This includes overtime and bonus which would be time & a half after 8 hours per day and double time on weekends.

Hours: Monday to Friday. Saturday mornings as required.
