Job title: Maintenance & Groundskeeper

Location: Oaklands, Dimples Lane, Preston PR3 1UA

Rate Of Pay: £11.50 Per Hour

Shift Patterns: 40hrs a week + Overtime

Information about the Role:

Working as a Maintenance & Groundskeeper at Oaklands your duties will include the following:

• Maintaining condition and appearance of lawns and grounds.
• Planting, trimming, mulching and fertilizing flowers, shrubs and trees.
• Cleaning and painting benches, poles and signs.
• Keeping grounds free from snow and ice.
• Keeping facilities and surrounding areas free from trash, litter, debris and weeds.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and materials.
• General Maintenance of the service such as painting, hanging doors and repairs.
• Following applicable safety guidelines and procedures.
• Performing other duties as required.

Set in mature surrounding on the outskirts of Garstang north of Preston, Oaklands Care Home is surrounded by roaming countryside providing the ideal location for the people we support to relax and enjoy the views. Our care is resident focussed with each person we support being catered for individually so that they can lead a happy and fulfilling life doing the things they enjoy and accessing a wide range of activities. With 30 bedrooms our purposely adapted home across 2 floors provides the perfect, safe environment for the people we support.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

• Someone who has a real passion for Maintenance and Grounds keeping.
• Ideally 6-months experience of working as a Maintenance and Groundskeeper.
• Have the right to the work in the UK.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Working knowledge of health and safety standards in their industry.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
