Head of Design | Hammersmith
(hybrid working with 3 functional days a week in our new office in Hammersmith - free daily breakfast and gym membership provided)
Reporting into our CEO and Product Lead (Moubin), you will lead Design at GetGround. We currently work with external resources and aim to bring our design in-house.
You will be responsible for high quality product design across our three Tech squads, and will be keen to get involved in hands-on design when required. You will partner with colleagues in Product, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Operations and other disciplines to nurture and develop Design at GetGround to shape the products we create for our global user base at scale.
What you will do
- Lead design execution and strategy across our three product squads
- Partner with Product Managers, Marketing, Engineers and leadership to develop the design process, operations and practices
- Cultivate a healthy design process for the business, providing guidance on output and facilitating collaboration
- Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant
- Foster an environment of design excellence and trust
You will have experience...
- Managing design teams
- Leading product design workstreams collaboratively with engineering in a fast-paced SaaS product environment
- Leading product direction and strategic thinking - representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts
- Articulating and synthesizing design problems and solutions to a cross-functional team of engineers, marketeers etc.
- Working with research and data to drive decision making
- Being hands-on when needed to help your group to achieve the desired outcomes
