Heavy Textile Operative

Lang & Potter, a dynamic, bespoke manufacturing company, is currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a keen and ambitious Heavy Textiles Operative to join our team based at Huxley Close.

The main purpose of the role is to work alongside and assist with the manufacturing of heavy textile products. This role will include being trained in how to produce from start to finish using high end products and materials.

You will be required to cut the materials to size. Sew the edges of the materials together. Trim the products to shape. The fitting of eyelets.

The work can be heavy at times so requirement of lifting heavy products is essential.

• Weatherproof Covers and Screens

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proactive and methodical approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Strong communication and relationship skills/ ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise a demanding workload and meet strict deadlines

Essential:

• Numeracy skills
• Understanding of measurements (metrical, imperial, metres and yards)
• Willing to learn how to sew

Salary – £10.42 per hour

Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm 39 hours per week

Training and support will be provided for all aspects of the role
