Infrastructure Engineer

Following internal promotion, our well regarded and reputable client are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to join their existing team. With continual investment in new technology, they are looking for someone who is keen to get involved in large infrastructure renewal and major platform upgrade projects and support with implementation/administration of both new and existing technologies.

Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer include:

• Azure administration
• Active Directory administration and design
• Design and implementation of network services and applications
• Assessment and installation of new hardware and software
• Administration of network switches and routers
• Network and server capacity planning
• Manage the deployment and maintenance of applications to end users
• Manage and maintain IT security systems
• Testing of new applications and updates to ensure continued stability of systems

Requirements of the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Previous infrastructure experience and a strong understanding of cloud technologies
• Knowledge of Azure technologies - VM's, Load Balancers, VNets, Storage Accounts
• Experience or understanding of the following core technologies; Microsoft Windows 2016/2019, Aruba Wi-Fi and Switches, Barracuda Firewall/Silver Peak SD WAN, Network security, VMware, Office 365, Microsoft SQL Server, Server clustering, MDM
