Instructor in Animal Management (2023/LH126)

We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated Practical Instructor in Animal Management to join the East Durham College Team for a full time, fixed term maternity cover from September 2023. This role could be suitable for job share or term time only basis.

Main Duties of the Role:

Your role will be to deliver an ambitious curriculum to all by working as part of the animal management teaching team, you will deliver a variety of engaging and challenging practical lessons throughout the week in our modern animal management unit. You will contribute towards the assessment of learner’s practical skills through regular progress tracking, and formative assessment.

The role is term time, up to 24 hours a week, with the option of some additional hours during college holidays subject to availability.

Essential Requirement:

• Minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Recent experience of working practically with a range of taxa.
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A passion for seeing young people achieve and progress.
