- Undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions
- Writes and codes individual programs according to specifications
- Providing development support of jump simulation environment including development of new exchange specific algorithms and general infrastructure support
- Meeting with clients to determine requirements
- Develops user interfaces
- Tests and corrects software programs
- Implements and evaluates the software
- Learning end to end, all aspects of the existing proprietary jump's trading platform and related technology
- Plan and maintenance database structures
- Writes operational documentation and provides subsequent support and training for the user
- Working with clients to define the scope of a project
- Planning timescales and the resources needed
- Clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business using CRM systems
- Travelling to customer sites
- Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization
- Defining software, hardware and network requirements
- Analyzing IT requirements within company and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT
- Actively participate in the troubleshooting of production environment issues
- Defining and developing tools to enhance jump simulation platform
- Actively monitoring performance of the system
- In-depth experience of working on multi-threaded applications
- Excellent knowledge of networks and operating systems
- Exposure to exchange protocols is a plus
- Meeting with clients to determine requirements
- Working with clients to define the scope of a project
Salary: £26,500 - £36000 per annum
