IT Desktop Support Analyst

As a Tier 2 Desktop Support Analyst within our IT department (located in Brentford, London) you will ensure proper applications, hardware and infrastructure technology operations, so that end-users can accomplish business tasks.

This includes acting as a technical point of reference for Tier 1 colleagues as well as taking active responsibility for resolving escalated end-user incidents and requests along with their associated business service communication.

Additionally a significant proportion of time and focus will be targeted towards continuous service improvement in areas such as incident prevention activities, standardising fixes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing day-to-day Technical support to all employees in our Head Office (located in Brentford, London)
• Act as an escalation point for advanced, high severity or difficult issues
• Build laptops for new starters and for upgrades
• Record and track all actions and communications, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
• For escalated issues from Tier 1, perform troubleshooting and issue resolution activity at the end-user computing and back-end environments, including but not limited to installing and upgrading hardware and software, implementing backups, configuring servers, databases, telephony, desktops and mobile devices
• Test fixes to ensure issues have been adequately resolved

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Experience and knowledge of supporting Windows Server in an enterprise scale environment
• Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Experience of supporting LAN/WAN/VPN implementations and associated trouble shooting
• Experience of supporting mobile devices
