A new, innovative and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Prison Healthcare Team at HMP/YOI Stoke Heath. The AP roles are key in developing and supporting the new model of care at HMP/YOI Stoke Heath.

We welcome applications from varying professional backgrounds and specialities and support will be given to develop skills.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative autonomous registered health professional who is currently on the Advancing clinical practice Masters programme or who is willing to undertake this at the next available cohort.

There is an expectation within this training role for full completion of the ACP Masters programme (within the allocated time frame) and the related competencies before progression into the 8a post.

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is the lead provider of a full range of healthcare services to the 781 prisoners held in custody at HMP/YOI Stoke Heath.

The post holder will support the Lead GP and wider healthcare team at HMP/YOI Stoke Heath with a view to further developing physical health services for all those held in custody within the prison and ensuring effective release planning into the community post custody to enable continuity of care.

They will work closely with the Lead GP and operational management team to ensure high quality, safe and efficient care delivery and enhancing practice standards through research and practice innovation.
