Applied Principal Psychologist

This is an opportunity for someone who is keen to use their psychological knowledge and skill set in a fast paced MDT environment and who is committed to putting patient care and recovery at the centre of their practice, to join a growing Urgent Care psychology team in the Black Country.

Taking a Principal Psychology role across 2 hospital sites (Dudley and Walsall) your role will be to offer day to day leadership to Senior psychologists, Assistants and Trainees who work across these 2 settings. Offering your own clinical skills into one of the wards at Bushey Fields Hospital will allow you to exercise your skills in assessment, formulation, care planning and risk mitigation within the context of an MDT. Working closely with nursing, AHP and medical colleagues you will begin to develop the psychological offer within these 2 locality areas and will work with the Urgent Care Consultant Psychologist in this endeavour.
