Role

Fibre Splicers required for work across the Central Belt and other areas of Scotland

Responsibilities

Live network Fusion splicing using Fujikura 70s or similar

Splicing and testing of external optical fibres to the end customer premise in line with quality standards using OTDR /ILM/PMD/CD/EXFO FTB200 or similar.

Adherence with Health and Safety legislation, working safely using NRASWA gate guard and signage as appropriate.

Document completed fibre distribution points both inside the closure and externally showing position on chamber or on pole

Requirements

Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card

Ability to produce, update and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings, network design maps

40 hours per week and would need to go on call for one week in five.

Desirable

Scottish Power accreditations;

Required WI 1 &2 (Work instruction 1 & 2)

Desired: EN1 1 (Independent Entry)

Highly Desired: SB1 or SB2, SR3 or SR4

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
