Works Administration/Trainee Cad Person

Job description

AEM Group (Bristol) Ltd, is a successful manufacturing business, offering profiling, laser cutting, press-brake and machining services to a range of sectors across the south and south west.

Working within our current service team, you will be an integral part of delivering great service, to a vast range of customers in many sectors. You will work very closely with our CAD and operations team on a day to day business, ensuring that we deliver a fantastic result for both our customers and business.

Within this trainee role, you will learn to do the following:

Collect completed CNC programs from machines and validate onto out MRP system.

Validation of of press-brake programs, checking for amendments to tooling or drawings

Booking in raw material and assigning specific numbers to each product

Matching delivery notes against our raised purchase orders.

Sending material certification to our customers.

Working closely with both our works and sales team.

Onsite training into being able to produce drawings for our shop floor, using our cad software.

Occasionally speaking to our customers, to resolve any drawing queries.

Skills required

An enthusiastic person, with a keen willingness to learn on the job, while being able to work within our team.

An understanding into basic engineering would be an advantage, although not essential, for the correct candidate.

Hours of work are 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8:30-5pm, with an early finish on Friday 8:30-4pm

Competitive salary, 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays

Onsite training in to the role required.

Salary: £20,000.00-£22,000.00
