Personal Care Assistant KWB/NCL

Job title: Personal Assistant (PA) – Male candidates preferred

Reporting to: Direct Payment Employer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Gosforth/Fawdon area)

Hours of work: 8 hours per week to be used flexibly, predominantly on evenings and weekends. Hours will be discussed at interview stage.

Additional hours may be offered for short breaks/weekends away.

Rate of pay: £11.10 per hour

A young adult male who has Autism, is looking for an active and enthusiastic personal assistant to support him getting out into the community and developing skills to promote lifelong independence. His passions include all kinds of outdoor pursuits, such as climbing, canoeing and mountain biking. Trampolining is also a favourite activity, as well as spending time playing on the X Box and watching Manga cartoons. Living in the family home with his Mum and pets (a dog and 2 cats), a role model figure is sought to provide guidance whilst transitioning into adulthood and encourage the development of life skills.
