Community Cafe Manager x 2 vacancies

Can you use your hospitality and community building skills to help us bring our new community park cafes to life?

Following the success of our first community park cafe at Winton Recreation Ground which opened in 2019, we are now expanding our community cafe model into Redhill Park and Boscombe Chine Gardens. We are looking for an entrepreneurial manager for each site who can manage the daily operations with a focus on developing our volunteer’s skills as well as increasing park use and engagement. Our cafes will be operated in the most environmentally conscious way possible.

The role will involve:

• Day-to-day management of the cafe operations
• Recruiting and supervising a team of volunteers (many of whom may have special education needs or need additional support)
• Monitoring all income & expenditure via profit & loss reports and meeting set financial targets
• Facilitating activities and events in the cafe and park to increase footfall
• Promoting the cafe.

Key information:

• Salary: £25,600 per annum
• 40 hours a week, including regular weekend work
• Redhill Cafe Manager: Permanent
• Boscombe Chine Gardens: Fixed-term until Friday 8th September 2023
