The Opportunity

Mary Handy Hair & Beauty are looking for an experienced Hair Stylist & Colour Technician to join their dynamic team in Henley, Oxfordshire for a new salon opening. There is space for an enthusiastic and driven Hair & Beauty professional keen to be involved in leading the growth of an aspiring and ambitious luxury salon that focus on high quality styles and customer service.

The ideal candidate must have worked in a senior position before and be extremely driven, ambitious, personable, and sales orientated; but we would welcome applications from Stylists looking to progress in their career.

The Company

Founded in 2012, Mary Handy Hair & Beauty is a boutique, luxury salon now open in Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire that specialise in Aveda products, known for creating elegant styles, and exceptional cut & colour, whilst ensuring clients feel pampered from start to finish. The Salon’s founder, Susan Handy has perfected her craft over her 30 year career and has curated a fun and lavish experience for the salons clients.

The Candidate

The ideal Hair Stylist will have a minimum of 2 years relevant practical hair experience, with a background in managing and developing their own client base and workload.

· A passion for hair, and a love of working with people is essential for this opportunity, along with a proven track record of producing high quality work and retaining repeat business.

· Experience in working in an Aveda salon is preferential but not vital

· Competent in managing a salon or mentoring staff would be a bonus

· Be able to use initiative and thrive working under pressure

· Excellent client service skills

· Have a creative approach to all jobs you undertake

· Highly organised and motivated

· Ensure the brand ethos is represented at all times

· Fully Flexible working ability (This will include working weekends and evenings)

Salary: Up to £31,673.00 per year
