The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained across Tredegar Park Primary School and Nursery at all times.
Duties include:
- Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors.
- Sweeping and mopping classroom floors
- Wiping, polishing, dusting and spray cleaning surfaces, furniture, materials, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
- Emptying and cleaning bins
- Cleaning toilets (children’s toilets and staff toilets) including sanitary fittings and surrounds
- Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc.
- Maintaining cleaning cupboard order and stock levels
- Loading / unloading dishwasher
- Cleaning pans
- Spot cleaning spillages, including urine, stool and vomiting incidents using the appropriate spill packs.
- Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time
This is a zero hour, casual contract. The successful candidate will be called when needed for cleaning duties.

The appointment process will involve an interview with the Headteacher and members of the Governing Body. The Local Authority and Governing Body are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
