Creative Seamstress/Seamster

An opportunity has arisen for a seamstress to join our unique Company. We are the manufacturers of Christmas decorations, displays, animatronics and VR rides and we are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and talented person to join our team.

Job Description: -

To make costumes, outfits and dress animatronics, animated and static characters and displays according to specifications. Liaise with departments regarding the type of material, pattern, or style to be used in making garments and work from visuals that have been approved by the customer.

Key Points: -

· Create and modify patterns on the stand or flat for animated characters

· Pin or baste together fabric parts in preparation for final sewing

· Sew fabric parts by hand, operate single-needle sewing machine and overlocker.

· Press garment using hand iron to smooth seams and remove wrinkles

· Dress characters with garments made specifically for them

· Sourcing of materials

· Stock control

· Working to production deadlines and project timescales

· Assist with stocktake

· Contribute and assist in other departments within the Company as and when required

· Adhere to health & safety rules

· Assist in installation and takeout of displays and decorations, throughout the uk and abroad.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £23,400.00 per year
