Full Job Description

Education is at the very heart of what ISUOG represents. The post holder will be part of the ISUOG Management Team with the exciting mandate to deliver the overall scope of ISUOG’s education strategy. The post holder will play an active role to deliver organisational leadership, management and accountability. The role will operationalise ISUOG’s comprehensive education and certification strategy and offering, to appeal to a global market, ensuring ISUOG is seen as the market leader in pursuit of our overarching mission.


The post holder will:

  • Provide effective and ‘hands-on’ leadership, management and direction to the Education team, its staff and consultants, working closely with the Chair of the Education Committee and its Task Forces;
  • To lead on the implementation and delivery of the organisation’s education strategy against agreed targets, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Lead on all matters concerning education, training, accreditation/certification and professional development of ultrasound healthcare professionals globally through all stages of their professional careers.
  • Be part of the delivery team, by managing one of our core products (Basic Training).

  • Degree in education or an equivalent field

  • Broad experience working in an education role

  • Experience of working in learned society / Charity
  • Experience working with volunteers

Knowledge & Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) across different cultures / professions
  • Ability to manage a varied and unpredictable workload

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Other languages (particularly Spanish, Mandarin, French or Portuguese)
