Founded in 1967, St Christopher's pioneered the modern hospice movement and is internationally renowned as a centre of innovation and expertise in the field of palliative care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic person-centred psychological therapist, (e.g. CBT, Art Psychotherapist, Music Therapist, Psychotherapist) to join our Psychological and Spiritual Services team. Passion for and expertise in the therapist’s chosen discipline is key. The role will involve assessment and therapeutic interventions for people with life-limiting conditions, as well as families and carers. The post holder will work sensitively to enable people to optimise their independence, make significant differences to their quality of life, impact upon the psychological components of ‘total pain’ and work with existential concerns.

We are looking for:

• a person-centred therapist with sound clinical reasoning skills and the ability to deliver therapeutic interventions across a complex patient caseload in a specialist palliative care setting
• experienced in clinical practice and working within an MDT
• advanced communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• ability to deliver therapy to both individuals and groups
• 3 years post qualified experience
• line managerial experience
