Production Operative

The Ginger Cat Deli is a family run bakery. We are based in Cullompton, making delicious, rustic food. Everything we do is about big flavours and the best experience for our customers. Food to make people happy.

We are expanding our wholesale production and are looking for a part time trainee production assistant to join the team. The job will be based in Cullompton and we are looking for a driven individual who loves food and wants to join an expanding business with lots of potential for growth and progression.

We would like to stress that you don't need to have food experience. The absolute essentials are a positive attitude and willingness to learn and work within a small team and a growing business.

The job role will be:

- Production line - pasties, pies, sausage rolls and quiches.

- Batch cooking pie mixes.

- Handling ingredients including raw meats and food allergens.

- Using machinery.

- Working in hot and cold environments.

- Weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.

- Cleaning.

- Completing paperwork

- Emails and corresponding with customers.

Essential:

- Good attitude and willingness to listen and learn.

- Attention to detail - producing high quality products, following recipes exactly and ensuring packing and invoicing are done correctly.

- Driven and proactive. Ability to work with limited supervision.

- Understands flavour, seasoning and tasty food.

- Highly organised and clean working patterns.

- Flexibility with hours.

Permanent position subject to a 3 months trial period.
