Maintenance Handyman/woman

Halo Recruit are working in partnership with one of the UKs specialist housing experts to recruit for an experienced Maintenance / Handyperson to join their team in Bournemouth.

This is a permanent opportunity, working directly for our Client. The role is mobile, and will cover the Company's portfolio of self-contained and shared accommodation properties within the Bournemouth region.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible for providing maintenance support across a number of properties within the Company's portfolio, with duties including:

• Touching up paintwork
• Carrying out reactive maintenance
• Basic plumbing duties, such as unblocking toilets, pipes, etc.
• General carpentry tasks, such as hanging of doors
• Removal of furniture
• Lock changes within shared houses
• Some cleaning tasks
• End of tenancy maintenance repairs, ensuring strict timescales are met and adhered to
• Meeting contractors where necessary

This role is carried out at residential tenanted properties where some tenants are complex/vulnerable and therefore the candidate must be comfortable working with sometimes challenging clients. Lone working experience is preferred, and candidates must be willing to undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks for the role.

A driving license is an essential requirement, and a Company vehicle will be provided. You will be expected to provide your own tools.

Salary and Benefits

£30k-£32k per annum, depending on experience
