Industrial Sewing Machinist / Cover Maker

Boat-Cover.co.uk have an opening for a Cover / Sail Maker / Upholsterer to work in our well equipped Chichester showroom.

We are ideally looking for someone, with experience in auto/nautical cover and upholstery or contract upholstery.

We are a growing company specialising in bespoke yacht/boat covers, canopies and upholstery based in the idyllic setting of Chichester Marina.

Job Description:

You will be working on an individual basis, as part of a small team on various new and repair projects. You would be expected to be able to template and produce various styles of upholstery and repairs for small maritime craft. There would also be a range of cover work depending on experience, however, comprehensive training in this area will be given to a suitable candidate.

Upholsterers with motor vehicle experience are welcome to apply as cover training can be given.

Ideal Candidate:

Previous knowledge and experience of either upholstery or cover making

Ability to work as part of a team and individually

Be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision

Good hand eye coordination and an eye for details
