Technical Building Manager

The UK's premier Facilities Management (FM) provider are now looking for an Engineering Manager to come in one of the largest, cutting edge, and exciting shopping centres in Europe, where you will head up a 14 strong engineering team, to ensure M&E plus Project delivery, while supporting with subcontractor activity

This role best suits a traditional, hands on, organised manager, happy to take ownership of technical delivery within mechanical, electrical and fabric PPMs and reactives.

There is a great emphasis on decisive decision making, being proactive and coming up with quick solutions in a live environment with a major weekly footfall.

Exact duties would include:

• Work to achieve a ‘Best in Class’ approach to Engineering and Fabric services including those provided through supplier organisations.
• Ensure that all engineering services are properly maintained and are providing the environmental conditions and exceeding the business needs required by the Client.
• Ensure that the M&E and fabric elements of the portfolio are maintained to a standard that is acceptable to the Client and within any budget constraints that may be imposed.
• Ensure that all PPM, Reactive and project works are within the agreed KPI’s.
• Ensure that an effective asset database is built up through a suitable engineering asset management solution and analyse and provide management information using the system (e.g. analysis of trends and production of forward maintenance plans).
• Take ownership of, and lead, all planned and unplanned improvements to the engineering services.
• Seek continuous improvement and innovation within the M&E and Fabric service
• Interface with other departments within the Facility Services to ensure compliance to the regulations at all times.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all building users and the engineering team and suppliers.

We need from you:

• An electrical background, with clear leadership experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £53,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
