Assistant Brewer

Vault City are seeking 2 new team members to assist with all things sour.

Key Responsibilities:

Brewing on our 60hl brew kit, cellar work, packaging and supporting despatch. You’ll be joining a tight-knit team at our brewery, just off the beach in Portobello, Edinburgh.

Reporting to our Senior Brewer, you’ll work a 4 day week with a shift pattern that covers Monday-Sunday.

Duties include:

· Brewing on 60hl Willis brewhouse

· Cellar operations - Cleaning vessels, monitoring fermentations, dry hopping, fruiting, yeast management, transferring beers, force-carbonation, operating centrifuge, etc

· Assisting packaging where required

· Accurate record-keeping across all aspects of production

· Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene in line with SALSA accreditation, health and safety and housekeeping throughout the production facility

This will be a developing role as the company grows so an open mind to change and a positive attitude is required!

Key Competencies and Experience:

· Previous brewing and cellar experience

· Forklift trained

· Passionate and motivated about the industry

· Experience in a fast paced production environment

Renumeration:

Salary - £27,000 per annum
