Playground Games is looking for a UI Artist to join our talented Fable team here in Leamington Spa. We welcome Artists of all levels to apply.

ABOUT US:

We are a premier Xbox Game Studio, crafting genre-defining games that delight players with their accessibility, visual allure, and pure fun. Our team, diverse and passionate, is currently working on the exciting reboot of the much-adored Fable franchise.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a UI Artist, you will be integral in creating visually compelling and intuitive interface designs for AAA games. You will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience that aligns with the game's vision.

You'll ideally have strong artistic abilities, a firm grasp of UI/UX principles, and a knack for managing deadlines. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices is crucial for this role.

This role is based in our state-of-the-art studio in Leamington Spa, with a hybrid work model in place. Relocation assistance is available if required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Design and implement top-tier UI assets, maintaining a cohesive art style while ensuring smooth integration into the game.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments, delivering tasks on time and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in UI design and continually hone your skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Relevant experience in game UI development demonstrated by an online portfolio.
• Artistic and graphic design abilities along with UI/UX design proficiency.
• Knowledge of industry-standard software like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Xd.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and proactively address work-related issues.
• A passion for learning and evolving as a professional.

DESIRABLE (NOT REQUIRED):

• Experience working on console games or RPG games. Skills in 2D animation, motion graphics, or digital/traditional illustration.
