Journalist

IDTechEx, a market intelligence company in the area of emerging technologies, is looking for a Journalist. This is a full time position.

Responsibilities will include the following and will also include other responsibilities associated with this position or assigned to you from time to time.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Writing engaging promotional copy on company products (topics include green technology, consumer electronics and robotics)
• Working alongside the editorial and marketing teams to ensure smooth and consistent flow of excellent promotional content
• Liaising with analysts to identify interesting areas of research to extrapolate into content
• Work from established brand guidelines to maintain company voice through written materials

Tasks may include:

• Work on other company content under the guidance of senior editorial staff

Job requirements

• Copywriting and proofreading to a very high professional standard
• Superlative written English
• An interest or an educational background in STEM is essential (enabling you to understand the topic areas that we cover)
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• A high level of literacy, accuracy and attention to detail is essential
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Work well under pressure with the ability to use own initiative
• Solid understanding of working within corporate guidelines
• Previous experience in copywriting

Location:

The position will be based in Cambridgeshire, England, with the candidate working from home, with the availability to meet up with staff on occasion.
