Junior Architectural Technologist

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an Architectural Technician on behalf of a housing developer based in Lincoln.

Our Client

Our client is a reputable housing developer based in Lincoln, who focus on the quality of their homes. They are a growing company and have had an exciting opportunity for an individual to join their Technical team.

The Role

As an Architectural Technician, you would be reporting into the Senior Architectural technician where you would be involved in all aspects of housing design and innovation. This team is also responsible for finding materials for projects and liaising with the other departments to ensure smooth running of the delivery of a development.

The Responsibility of an Architectural Technician

• Provide architectural support to a number of different developments
• Produce and amend site and housing layouts
• Gain building regulation approvals for approved sites
• Assist with planning applications, delivering and co-ordinating working drawings
• Collating and organising technical information
• Investigation of technical problems encountered and provision of viable economical solutions
• Attend progress meetings as required
• Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company
• Following technical approval being granted, managing timely completion of legal agreements
• Co-ordinate the delivery of surveys & reports required for the development and manage associated requirements from design to completion
• Co-ordinate submission of designs and securing technical approvals
• Provide information for Housing Association contracts
• Co-ordinate consultants to deliver the house type working drawing packs

The ideal candidate for the role of Architectural Technician

• Have a degree in a relevant subject
• Have good attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Be able to work effectively within a team and individually
• Good at problem solving

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
• residential housing: 3 years (preferred)
