We are a London and Hampshire based creative furniture company designing and manufacturing commercial furniture within the UK. We are currently a team of 35 with ambitious growth plans. We have recently purchased some buildings and land in Ropley, near Alresford Hampshire. The acquisition provides us with an exciting opportunity to develop the site which has become our main hub housing warehousing, manufacturing and offices.

Rawside design and manufacture high quality furniture for the contract market and are currently in the process of launching a new B2C furniture brand. Most of our customers are within the UK but we have recently completed a number of successful projects in Europe and expect to expand these markets. Our environmental credentials are a key part of our business and having recently been certified Carbon Neutral we are keen to improve and reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the environment.

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic product designer. You must be self-motivated, creative and passionate about furniture design. A good sense of humour is also a must!

Your role will include the production a variety of CAD drawings from client specifications, prototypes and/or measured survey information undertaken by yourself or third parties and the transfer of specifications from drawing to CNC production machinery. You will be working under the direction of our Product Design manager.

Experience & Qualification

• 1 year minimum industry experience
• Knowledge and experience of Solidworks
• Technical qualifications and experience related to designing joinery/carpentry shop fitting or cabinet making
• Portfolio available upon request
• CNC and / or hands-on cabinet making experience would be beneficial
• Ability to transfer specifications from drawings to CNC production machinery
• Good interpersonal skills to create effective working relationships
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and software

Job Type: Full-time

• Location: Ropley, nr Alresford Hampshire, SO24 0EF
• Salary: 25-27k per year (dependent on experience)
