Junior Network Engineer – NHS – £150-185 inside IR35 – Onsite – ASAP – 3 months+ – Norwich

My client, a large NHS organisation, has an immediate need for a Junior Network Engineer to join them on an initial 3 month contract.

This is an onsite role.

Job Purpose:

As a network engineer you will support the network projects team in provision and delivery of robust network and communication services, by means of project activities and any ad-hoc requests. This role will have a strong focus on the organisations Network projects which is upgrades to existing network equipments and ensuring that the project is completed on schedule within project specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IT networking experience, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent would be desirable.

IT network configuration, Cisco switches, Wi-Fi access points and controllers, firewalls.

Good knowledge of IT network cabling, Cat5e, Cat6, Optical Fibre.

Good understanding of the concept of building physical IT networks.

Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite.

Good problem-solving skills.

Well organised and willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.

You will be a key technical resource within the project.

You will work as part of Network Refresh Project Team and be expected to work alongside other project engineers within Digital Health.

Occasional travel to other project sites.

Participate in technical project meetings, quality assurance.

You will be required to work out of hours in order to meet project deadlines and the needs of the Trust.
