Kennel Assistant

Waterloo Kennels, Cheltenham, have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Kennel Assistant to join their hard-working team. We're looking for an outstanding, flexible and positive person to provide top quality care in line with our unique brand and values at our well-regarded countryside holiday-home for dogs.

You should have a mature attitude, be personable and professional, totally reliable and demonstrate the following:

experience working with animals and a love of dogs (essential)

outstanding customer service skills

excellent communication and organisational skills

fine attention to detail while working under pressure

confident computer-literacy and social media skills

relentless energy and self-motivation

Duties include caring for and exercising dogs, customer liaison and possibly some office admin.

Must be available to work on a flexible basis, especially on weekends, public and school holidays.

Shift work: approx. 0715-1100 and 1515-1930, 25-35 hours/week. Full training and on-going support will be given but a keen attitude to learn new skills rapidly is crucial.

Scope for advancement to a supervisory role and to creatively develop the business further.

Own transport is essential due to rural location and living locally is definitely an advantage.
