Kitchen Assistant

Catering Assistants required for the largest corporate buffet delivery company in Coventry (CV6). We are looking for friendly people with kitchen experience to join our 5* catering business, with the luxury of every Thursday and Saturday and all evenings off!

Phoenix Caterers (formerly known as Jasper’s Catering) is a long-established 5* corporate catering business, providing week-day buffets and hot food to local businesses in Coventry and surrounding areas for over 15 years. Proud of what we do, we remain the largest corporate caterer in Coventry, employing a small team of drivers and production assistants to produce and deliver quality catering to local businesses.! With an increase of demand from our customers, we’re looking for extra pairs of hands to join our friendly team.

The Role:

We are looking for someone available Sunday-Friday working 4-8 hours per day. The Sunday shift starts at 7am, and midweek 6am. The salary is £10.42/hr

We expect commitment to work with our existing team on our corporate client orders by:

• Preparing lunch buffets, making sandwiches, preparing salad items, slicing fruit, packing lunch boxes and noting dietary requirements
• To support the production manager to ensure all customer orders and their special requirements are met
• To support the running of a 5* kitchen by performing shared cleaning tasks and regular washing up
• To minimise waste by rotating stock
• To be quick to respond to assist the team with late orders.

What we expect from you:

• Understanding of the importance of quality food presentation (essential)
• A keen eye for detail (essential)
• Experience and understanding of Retail Catering outlets or kitchens (essential)
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance history (essential)
• Good personal hygiene (essential)
• A food hygiene certificate (advantage)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-25 per week
