Laboratory Steward

Beeston, Nottingham

The Role

You will be accountable and responsible for supporting the release of product from the QC laboratory by managing the lab glass washing activities and consumable replenishment as defined by QC management. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all ordering, receiving, receipting and storage of laboratory consumables is delivered effectively and efficiently in compliance with current Good Laboratory Practice where required to provide continuous support to consumer quality and customer service performance within the Reckitt business.You will have the opportunity to perform routine tasks effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision and is wholly accountable for ensuring all consumables and glassware are readily available.

In a pharamaceutical manufacturing environment, you’ll be:

• Day to day execution of laboratory steward duties in conformance with all relevant safety and quality requirements.
• Day to day implementation, maintenance, and application of management, operational, or quality systems.
• Understanding and contributing to key performance indicators.
• Continual improvement activities within their section.
• Challenging and being passionate about Quality, taking responsibility and ownership for compliant processes that continually improve

You’ll succeed if you have the following…

• Previous experience in a similar background
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Demonstrable skills in working within a multi-level team environment
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team of people
• Good knowledge of Excel and IT literate. SAP would be advantageous
