Lead Data Integration Engineer

Age UK is recruiting for a Lead Data Integration Engineer to join our Digital & Technology team to ensure the best data solutions are delivered across the charity.

The successful candidate will lead and formulate innovative, useful, and high-quality data integration solutions that are in line with the business goals of Age UK. You’ll be responsible for the design, re-design, and implementation of numerous complex data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics, and business intelligence (BI) systems.

As Lead Data Integration Engineer, you will also supervise the team to assist with solving data integration challenges and utilise Microsoft SQL Stack, Microsoft Azure Synapse, and/or Talend.

You will manage relationships with data providers internally and externally therefore we’re looking for effective communication and leadership skills in this role.

This role is offered on a Hybrid / London contract and will include travel to our modern co-working hub in East London (EC3N 2LB) as required.

Must haves:

• Extensive ETL experience, with advanced T-SQL transformation abilities and RDBMs.
• A wealth of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration.
• Substantial expertise in software specification, development, and testing. Including profiling SQL queries and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication & leadership skills.
• Experience in data management.
• Experience of managing relationships with data providers (internal and/or external).
• Experience with data warehouses concepts and methodology.
• Strong analytic skills related to structured and unstructured datasets.
